In the second major schedule update of the night, the US Air Force’s F-16 Fighting Falcon Demonstration Team released a new 2019 appearance schedule which removes EAA AirVenture and the Milwaukee Air and Water Show. Instead, the team will now perform at the Grand Junction Airshow in Colorado, which the A-10 team was previous scheduled for. They have also added a Heritage Flight flyover for the Indianapolis 500, the Chicago Air and Water Show, the Wings Over North Georgia Air Show in Rome, GA, and an international trip to the UK for the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford.

This is a major disappointment just a few hours after a new A-10 Demo Team schedule seemed to reveal that all four of the Air Force’s single-ship demo teams would share the skies over Oshkosh and Milwaukee. Sadly, it appears that it was too good to be true. Nevertheless, fans at the new shows can be happy and AirVenture fans can still look forward to three of the four teams flying together – unless further updates come through.

Heritage flight must have a F4 Phantom in the mix to be a true heritage flight, go get the Collins Foundation F4D to participate….

Agreed, Airventure can’t be a true “Year of the Fighter” without the Phantom.
