Re: Wings over Whiteman Airshow 2024 - Whiteman AFB, Missouri

Whiteman AFB has a bunch of historic aircraft (B-29, B-47, KC-97, F-4 etc.) on display around the base. Does anyone know whether in the past it has been possible for airshow visitors to photograph them (as e.g. at Offutt AFB), or is the rest of the base cordoned off from the ramp (as e.g. at Cannon ...

Re: EAA Airventure Oshkosh 2022

I expect most of the non-demo military stuff will be filled in much closer to the show. Fingers crossed for lots of flybys and low approaches! Oh, OK, so that's why each of those days has a specific USAF theme. I was worried that (seeing as there were no known actual AFSOC aircraft scheduled to app...

Re: EAA Air Venture Oshkosh 2021

Excellent. One show centre (I propose 9/27) can be used for all the flip-flopping acts and their macho announcers, while the other (I propose 18/36) can be used for the displays that aviation enthusiasts like. Including, one would hope, take-offs of those planes from 18/36 (and return to that runway...

Re: Airshow/Aviation Event Calendar

Hi Ryan, there is a reference to the Northern Neighbors Day Air & Space Show at Minot AFB on 1 August 2020 in the calendar, but according to the headline in this article: https://www.minotdailynews.com/news/local-news/2019/12/2020-northern-neighbors-day-at-minot-afb-canceled/, that show has been...

There'll probably be several dozen Skyhawks at Oshkosh. Cessna 172s are among the most popular visitors of the place, so the EAA will be really pleased with this news.

Re: EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019

50th Anniversary of the Boeing 747 announced as one of this year's focal celebrations. That's the kind of anniversary celebrations you will only see at Oshkosh - and I'll be there again this year. Wonder what that will mean in terms of airframe appearances, however. Just the (undoubtedly too high a...

Re: Milwaukee air show

Hi Star8383 (or anyone else), Since I don't have a digital photo of the Golden Knights' C-31 yet, I'm considering stopping by at Milwaukee on my way to Oshkosh. I'm assuming all of the participants will be flying from MKE? Do you happen to know where on the field the show planes tend to be parked be...

Fargo Airsho (July 28-29, 2018)

Fargo Airsho (July 28-29, 2018) https://www.fargoairsho.com/ Does anybody know whether it will be possible to get close to the preserved aircraft on the Eastern side of the ANG base so as to photograph them? The photos on the URL above suggest the airshow is held on a different part of the airport? ...
