Re: NAF El Centro Festival of Flight 2021
Depends on how you define the word "accessible". They're clearly hoping it will be understandable and meaningful, which I suppose is one of the more obscure definitions of "accessible". But the statement is pretty clear that the public won't have literal, physical access, so it d...

Re: International Causeway Airshow 2022
This plan has been approved 24-15 by the council, with objections primarily coming from Sinn Fein. The local press is reporting that the event may take place during the Thursday 2nd June-Sunday 5th June Jubilee public holiday, but this hasn't been confirmed. That's likely to be a period of very high...

Re: Airwaves Portrush 2022
Some context: Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council previously ran the AirWaves Portrush show each September, at a cost of £240,000 and an estimated value of £2.5m to the NI economy. In February of this year it was revealed that the council was on the brink of collapse, having inherited £70m in d...

Re: Flying Legends Airshow 2021
It appears as I haven forgotten to update this show, since the December 8th Jet Team Schedules were released. Accordingly with the A-10 Demo Team, it has Sywell Aerodrome on the 2021 schedule, located in Northampton, Great Britain. It appears very unique to schedule the Flying Legends Airshow the w...

Re: TIF airshow documentaries
For those who haven't already seen - AirshowStuff and I combined forces earlier this year to make Airshow Action 2019, a two-part mini-series featuring the best airshow action of 2019, filmed at 14 airshows in five countries. Part one, released in the summer, focuses on military action: everything f...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2021
A message today from the CEO of the RAFCTE. Dear Air Tattoo Supporters, Thank you for your understanding and patience over the past nine months, particularly those of you that carried over your tickets for the Air Tattoo next year. It's been an interesting time for all of us as we try to navigate th...

Re: USN F-18F Rhino Demo Team & F-35C Airshow Team 2021 Schedule
This was totally my bad. I wasn't meaning to say "TACDEMO or Rhino" , I meant to say one or the other. They are the same :) Ah, thought that's how it worked. Thanks for clearing it up. When it's referred to as the TACDEMO, Rhino Demo Team, or simply by it's squadron number, it all gets qu...

Re: USN F-18F Rhino Demo Team & F-35C Airshow Team 2021 Schedule
Some questions from a dumb foreigner, who finds the US Navy solo demos to be incredibly confusing. Firstly, what exactly is the difference between the Rhino Demo Team and Super Hornet TACDEMO team? I thought the Rhino Demo Team was simply the 2020 rebranding of the TACDEMO team but I see a distincti...

Re: What's The Future Like For The RAF Red Arrows
Yesterday's ceremony was entirely symbolic - the TS-11 Iskra hasn't actually been used in the training role for over a year, and neither is it being totally retired. Seven jets will be retained for Biało-Czerwone Iskry, where they will continue to serve for two more years. Those seven jets were put ...

Re: RAF Lakenheath Event 2021
I would be highly surprised if this is a public event, of any kind. The most likely explanation I've seen is that it's some kind of ceremony to mark the first UK-based USAF F-35 squadron being formed.
