Re: Thunder Over Michigan 2023
Wes Stowers P-51D 'Aint' Misbehavin' as well James Bohannon's P-51D 'Glamorous Glen III' added. Just missing P-51D 'Old Crow' to match the six 357th Mustangs that were at TOM 2019, and the goal is to have a couple more than that. There are 14 flying in North America, 8-10 is looking promising.

Re: Thunder Over Michigan 2023
This is my biggest issue so far...
https://yankeeairmuseum.org/airshow/schedule/
Show up at 7:00 for good parking, wait 3 hours for a 2 hour show, and then a 4 hour gap until another 2 hour show? Ummmm

Re: Thunder Over Michigan 2023
There's going to be a ton of variety this year on top of the Mustang theme. Plenty of uncommon attractions in the works right now. Without a formation demo team there's more room on the ramp for a packed static display with warbirds and modern military also.

Re: The Great Pacific Airshow 2022
The Super Hornet was a CAG, and the PACAF Viper Demo Team flew one of the aggressors. I believe the Super Hornet was their demo paint jet, and also believe that PACAF has a light grey digital camo jet that did the demo. The sun made it kinda hard to tell, but I don't think it was one of the blue ag...

Re: The Great Pacific Airshow 2022
This airshow has impressed me every year I've gone, but this year could've been one of the best airshows I've ever been to. So much variety and so much stuff you don't see outside of military bases. The F-35C demo is probably the best military demo we have right now.

Re: The Great Pacific Airshow 2022
Looks like we got the T-2 for the Legacy Flight POF's F8F broke at Reno so this might've been the backup option. I'll take it!

Re: The Great Pacific Airshow 2022
Probably not worth it unless you really want that experience for the Thunderbirds mainly. You can actually pick a spot on the beach to the far north or south of show center that will offer nearly the same experience with the fighters entering their passes right over the crowd. I was at the far North...

Re: EAA Airventure Oshkosh 2022
start by saying that airventure/oshkosh is the greatest airshow ever and I enjoy going every year. I am curious though as to why they announce things like "year of the fighter" or "airforce announced full participation". I feel like these types of statements cause an expectation...

Re: Thunder Over Michigan 2022
So the status of the field remains to be seen from year to year, I found another spot comparable just a bit further back but no view of the actual field. Kinda like being surprised by jets over the tree tops, reminds me of when I was a kid being buzzed by Phantoms, quite a rush. On Friday Tyler had...

Re: Thunder Over Michigan 2022
I'll throw what I can into the review column here from my experience on Saturday- First, as everyone understood, the show was 2 hours in the morning, 2.5 hours in the afternoon. Both shows were a little shorter than that, and I can completely understand people paying $225+ online ticket fee being di...
