Re: Wings over Wairarapa 2021

From the top of my head, the last time WOW managed to wing over a B-52 long-range bomber it parted departed out of Barksdale, from the Tail code if you have noticed in the video on the website saying "LA", that must be Barksdale as I thought it to myself, I'm predicting it might depart fr...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2021

Excellent start. Has RIAT ever hosted both teams in the same year before? Or, indeed, as any non-Swiss airshow hosted both teams in recent years? I certainly can't think of anything off the top of my head. Stellar support from our Switzerland partners once again.

Re: RAF Cosford Air Show 2021

Being optimistic, if this works, could it be the shot in the arm (no pun intended) that the show needs to become a two-day event in the longer term? Now it's the only RAF-hosted airshow, there surely must be the appetite for it.

Re: Super Bowl LV Flyover

Things looked pretty dicey for the B-1 from some angles! Behind the others at the start, and then passing underneath the B-2 at the end! A friend and I were debating why it looked a bit messy. He suggested that the B-1 had to fly faster than the other two, so it was a carefully coordinated overtake ...

Re: No Royal Navy International Air Day (Yeovilton) in 2021

With great regret, we must announce that the Royal Navy International Air Day (RNIAD) will not take place this year as scheduled at RNAS Yeovilton, Somerset, on Saturday 10 July. Due to the ongoing uncertainty with the COVID-19 pandemic and currentgovernment policy on large outdoor gatherings, the ...

Re: Air Tattoo 50: The Story Of The World's Greatest Airshow

Already completed, released and shipped some weeks ago. Everyone I know who has it says it is excellent, but £36 for a book is really pushing it. If you're interested in RIAT then the also-brilliant book Airshow is still available second hand on Ebay, where I picked up a copy for £0.01 last year.

Re: Corona virus, Covid-19 and airshows?

If you crunch the numbers, there are some really interesting findings with regard to 2021 airshow cancellations. Personally, this is the data I find most interesting: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vSILD92Qk0_wyk682Seg1GDjfA2OiQEExuI3wg0XtAAzujTfVC-4MCkQu2aj-psA8LzX1Jpl7uteCoj/pubch...

Re: Belgian Air Force A109 Display Team 2021

I guess that being said, I can only just look at it virtually. Hopefully, they draw up another ideal paint scheme for next, could've evaluated they transfer annually to different paint schemes, to come to thought that seems similar to the Canadian Forces CF-18 Demo Team since outfit the jet with di...
