Re: Thunder of Niagara Airshow 2018

Does anyone have any ideas for bases on the following?:

- F-16’s
- F-15’s
- B-52

I presume the F-15’s would be from Barnes, F-16’s either Ohio/Vermont and a Barksdale B-52. Just my own guesses. Anyone else have information on bases/squadrons attending?

I know. Just pondering the idea that it's In the area during CIAS.

Re: Canadian International Airshow 2018

Just realized that the B-29 "Fifi" will be in Hamilton, ON (CYHM) until September 2nd. That'd be the Sunday of CIAS if I'm correct.

Possibly a couple flyovers of the waterfront? Something to ponder and think about.

Re: Thunder of Niagara Airshow 2018

Thunder of Niagara has posted a facebook post saying large lenses and Tripods WILL be allowed at the show. Bags larger 21 x 10 x 10 inches will NOT be allowed. Obviously a compromise between the two sides here. I'm glad the photogs will get to bring their lenses in. I do understand the show's point...

Re: Thunder of Niagara Airshow 2018

This is the most ridiculous thing Ive ever seen If they are saying a large lens blocks some people's view then what else? I'm 6'-2", maybe they'll ban me because I might block the view of someone who didn't get up as early as I did to get a good seat. lol. It's so ridiculous. If they do decide...

Re: Ex. Maple Flag 2018

Does anyone know if they are going to have an open house this year as the exercise much shorter than previously? I have an email in to base public affairs but haven't heard anything yet. -- Barry Thorp, Victoria BC We have also been waiting a little while for responses from PAO at Cold Lake. Not en...

Re: Great Lakes International Air Show

They used to have a pretty awesome U.S Military presence, F-16's, A-10's, C-130's and I believe a USAF C-17 Demo one year. Hoping this year brings some more noise rather than filler acts. Have no idea what's in budget for them - still awaiting the "Whack" load of announcements lol. The 20...

Re: Great Lakes International Air Show

While I didn't attend the 2016 show, I do know they did have a few RCAF assets flying (CC-130, CH-146 demos). I think they will have an easier time getting RCAF assets then anything from the US. Not quite sure if they have the connections with the US military branches to pull it off. We shall see! ...
