Re: Randy Ball FIGHTERJETS 2019 Schedule
July 6 Cedar Creek Lake updated, MiG-17F & T-37 July 6-7 Goshen, MiG-17F Two shows two thousand miles apart on the same day? Guess he's got a second pilot? Greg Howell has been flying the MiG-17 1613 at some shows, but I’m leaning more towards it being a mistake. The whole schedule has some ser...

US Navy Retiring Legacy Hornet on February 1st
This news came out of the blue for me. The last squadron in the Navy still operating the F/A-18C "Legacy Hornet" will retire the aircraft this Friday, February 1st. The Legacy Hornets completed their last carrier deployment last year, and other units announced they were transitioning to th...

Re: Wings Over Wayne 2019
Saw all of these changes, and I am pretty confused. The F-35A Demo Team has added the show as well. No way the Air Force put the F-35, F-16, F-22, and A-10 all at the same show with the Thunderbirds. The F-22 Demo Team will be at Beaufort that weekend anyway. Maybe these aircraft are flying in the c...

Re: Two Su-34's Involved in Mid-Air Collision
Still no news on the fourth pilot, but today a Russian Tu-22M3 supersonic bomber crashed while landing at Olenya Air Base near Murmansk, killing 3 of the 4 people on board. Not a good week for Russian strike aircraft. https://theaviationist.com/2019/01/22/russian-tu-22m3-bomber-crashes-in-murmansk-r...

Re: Two Su-34's Involved in Mid-Air Collision
Now it appears both aircraft crashed and both crew ejected. Two bodies have been recovered and one pilot has been rescued as previously stated. The last person is still missing.
