Re: Abbotsford International Airshow 2019

In addition to seeing the from inside on Saturday, I’m planning on watching from outside, probably Sunday as close as I can get when the fastjets are turning in the weeds/lining up for the showline. So I’d like to be on Clearbrook near the landing lights. Do they clear this area during Thunderbirds...

Re: Abbotsford International Airshow 2019

The following is unofficial, unconfirmed, and otherwise completely off the record, but for anyone around YXX on Thursday afternoon, the CC-177 and the Snowbirds are expected to arrive at the same time. Like, The.Same.Time. At Boundary Bay the Snowbirds public affairs officer told me that the famili...

Re: Abbotsford International Airshow 2019

Totally random question. Did the Granley's have a falling out with the airshow? They used to be a staple, with multiple acts every year. Just popped into my head, not sure if anyone will actually have information regarding this. Not that I really miss the acts, although I enjoyed the Fouga. For all...

Re: Abbotsford International Airshow 2019

Here’s an old video I found uploaded by someone on YouTube from King Rd. It really speaks for itself. www.youtube.com/watch?v=pE-NLgBjhrM Wow, definitely something to think about. I'd love to get some head-on shots. How quickly do the road shoulders at the end of the runway fill with vehicles in th...

Thanks;

Some years in the past the RCAF Hawk has left as early as 6:30 AM. But like Viper said anytime between 7-7:30 should be safe bet to not miss anything.

Re: Boundary Bay Airshow '19

This was a great little show this year and as I suspected the crowd was significantly larger with the appearance of the CF-18 and Snowbirds as headliners. I was a little disappointed to find out Rob Holland wasn't there but suspected he wouldn't be when the Boundary Bay Airshow website omitted him f...

Re: Abbotsford International Airshow 2019

Saw a Snowbird leaving the Abbotsford airport this morning around 7:45am. Does anyone know if this was just a routine site-check or something else? Nice surprise to hear the sound of that little turbojet engine in June. It was there all weekend. Quite often the crews are visiting family. It was par...

Re: Airshow London 2019

With the race to win the contract on Canada's new multi role fighter being where it is. Who else is really hoping to see a few of the f35's competition at this years show? A Grippen, Typhoon or Rafale would be incredible additions to what I expect will already be a ridiculous show thanks to Hook an...
