RF 100-400

Post by GarrettR111 » Wed Jun 08, 2022 5:07 pm

Hey all, has anyone had the chance to use a RF 100-400 for an airshow yet? I’m looking to get one but the lack of IS modes concerns me due to past experience with tracking issues

Following in interest

I have seen a lot of discussion about mirrorless lately especially with Canon's new one but I have never really played with them myself. Curious for opinions as aviation is a pretty specific field

So the thing that concerned me the most was written in plain text, I’m just really bad at reading. The lens DOES have a panning priority so I went ahead and got it. The first airshow of the year for me will be Airventure so hopefully I’ll have everything by then. I’ve owned an R6 for a little over a year now and used it last year for Airventure with some Tamron glass. I had some focusing issues caused (probably) by the third party lens but when it did work the camera was great, definitely looking forward to using it with its actual glass this year
