Saw C-5 take off at Fairford 2016! Not surprised they are being upgraded to keep serving.

We have our tickets for London Sept 2019 :) :)
A local taxi firm are happy to do the round trip for 4 of us.

This will be our first foreign airshow and we hope to see plenty of 'new' planes, as well as the famous team demos from Canada and US.

This may be a daft question but so you all use airband radios at shows? We are only just getting serious but I would love to listen in, if this is permitted in Canada? It is common in UK, as you probably know.
Any recommends for decent, not too expensive radios?

when i was at the show before i know a guy was using a scanner on the day of arrivals {Friday}, don't know about their use during show days but friday evening was a show and no one seemed to stop him or say anything about not using it.

last year i bought the Uniden BC125XT for a reasonable price and have been happy with it with lots of videos on youtube to get me quickly up and running being a newbie
enjoy the show, it is one of the best shows for photography with great lighting and like others mentioned, with some of the departures, especially the CF-18's after the show sunday, in the evening lighting make for some top rate photo ops

Thank you Brian. I have looked at the reviews for the Uniden BC125 and that sounds like a good option :)
I notice that an alternative is Uniden EZI 33, cheaper because no key pad but may be adequate. Plenty to consider!

I live in the US so I am hesitant to comment on the specifics of the law in Canada, but I have used my scanners at many Canadian shows including London and not had any issues.

As long as it's a receiver you won't run into any issues. It's when people have two-way radios they will not let you in.

Thanks for picking up my slack lol. Last year's KC-10 arrival was fun. Did about 3-4 missed approaches. Hoping for the same this year!

2 x T-38 Talons for flying display! In honour of the 70th anniversary of NATO! I smell something unique cooking for the show this year!
