They had a strangely different crowd setup than the previous shows. They basically switched the performer and static areas. I think they did this so they could utilize the other runway instead of closing it. Wasn't really a fan of it tbh. It put the crowd at the far right of the runway. Plus it added a ton of walking. That base layout isn't very ergonomic for air shows anyway. I guess it was interesting seeing a different part of the base for the first time.

The F-35B Demo was by far the most aggressive demo I've ever seen from the Bravo. It included a square loop, a "lightning loop", a "dojo drift" style pitch...AND A 720° PEDAL TURN! It may have actually surpassed the Air Force demo in performance. I can't believe this capability hasn't been shown sooner. Wish I could have filmed it better.

The F-22 had one of the coolest take offs I've ever seen. Like many performers, it took off from runway 23 (from in front). It then pitched 90 degrees left to line up with the show line before the climb. Shout to Loco for being so adaptable.

A few other notes:

The AV-8 didn't need to cool its engine after "the dance" like it normally does.

The F-22 demo planes were from different squadrons. First time I've ever seen that.

It looks like Rob Holland has his new MX-S (or at least another temporary one).
I was at the base on Saturday and I agree the crowd setup was certainly not the best. But I asked a couple bass officials why they done that this year, and was told it was because the ramp where the static’s are usually parked in previous shows is currently being rebuilt and having new concrete poured.

Looks like one F-22 had TY Tyndall markings. What was the other? An FF from Langley?

Probably because some of the F-22's from Tyndall have been moved to Langley because of the Hurricane damage to Tyndall. I think this will be permanent.

That's correct.

I know they usually fly together, so I thought it would be weird if they had one come from Langley and the other from Tyndall (or wherever they are now). But if they are at Langley now, that makes more sense.

Also, I found out Rob Holland's plane was actually the MXS-R racer flown by Nigel Lamb in the Red Bull Air Race! Picture for reference, from exfordy on Flickr.

Here is the F-35B Demo. Knocked my socks off.

That F-35B demo is sweet. We saw a B model demo out at Yuma and it was solid, but definitely not that!

It sounds impressive! I hope they fly the same next year at cherry point!

I would have to agree with the earlier posts that the setup was odd. If you weren’t at the fence line or in the bleachers you would have had a hard time seeing most of the show. I was a little disappointed at the lack of static’s - there were a lot of port-a-potties at least. Unfortunately the port-a-potties also blocked the views for a good chunk of their static’s.

Presumably spring 2021, but Cherry Point will have a similar show with the same military performers at the end of next April

I found my long lost Blue Angel footage from this air show a few months ago. I decided to hold on to it until the end of the year to send off their Legacy Hornets. Merry Christmas, and for the love of God, give us a better year than 2020.
