Rhino demo
As everyone know, the rhino demo is currently either the East coast flown by VFA106 or West coast demo flown by vfa-122. However, I seen a video of VFA-102 f18f practice show so was there actually a vfa 102 demo or why is there even a vfa 102 rhino demo?

This was from Iwakuni's Friendship Day 2019. They used a VFA-102 aircraft (temporarily given VFA-106 markings, except for the tailcode) but the crew came from VFA-106.
It's quite common for US military demos to use locally-based aircraft when they display outside the continental US. The Viper Demo Team used F-16s from the 480th FS at Spangdahlem the last time it came to Europe, for example. I'm surprised they went to the trouble of adding temporary markings, though.
