Appreciate the comments, Dan! Hook rocked it. Be ready for an epic year if all goes to plan and 2021 will be insane. Keep up with the news, lots coming!Dan Gagnon wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2020 5:17 amJust listened to the podcast. Hook was awesome! Very enthusiastic and loved his stories! Very interested in the drive-in concept. It sounds like they are really pushing hard for this. Let's hope restrictions ease and the travel bans are lifted so we can have some sort of event, in a year where the airshow industry has been decimated due to the pandemic.Chuter wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 9:59 pm Keep an eye out around the second week of June for an epic podcast with Gerry, he's the Air Operations Director for Airshow London. He'll be joining my podcast for an hour to talk COVID and the show, plus his past. I'll certainly share some more details. I'll say, if you aren't apart of the Canadian Airshow Buzz Facebook group, you'll be missing out.
Here is a link on youtube to the podcast. Great work by Nick and Sam for getting Hook to come aboard. Very fun to listen to!

There was a post on Facebook post to that effect, however since edited to reflect that the Drive in option is still being considered.

Kinda of a mess in messaging here. So they canceled the existing tickets, along with a note saying that the show is postponed to 2021.
But as Mark said, there are comments online that they have not ruled out a drive-in option for 2020. Any drive-in show would be ticketed differently (obviously) so the current tickets are still being canceled.

Good morning,
Hold your horses.
Let me shed a little light on this one.
The traditional airshow for this year has been postponed. Key word "traditional".
We want to ensure that ASL's branding of large static displays, VIP taxiway seating etc stays intact for the 2021 return of the Blue Angels to London which will feature our traditional static displays and typical flying display.
Keep your eyes peeled for the one time only event to be held the same dates at the same place this year with a military only flying display.
You might even see an announcement or two prior to our launch with additional demonstrations!
Save the dates, we are still planning on a show! A big show!

Makes sense Gerry, thanks for clarifying! Hopefully I'll see you there, assuming I'm allowed across the border by thenHook wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 3:32 pm Good morning,

Looks like the F-22 Demo Team along with a Heritage Flight will be on hand. Not official though.

Sad to hear that the show is postponed, but not surprised.
However, I'm encouraged and excited to hear that the drive in option is still on the table, AND that there's a chance of the Raptor. Always a good time when they show up!
Now, my biggest question is this:
Why is NONE of this on the website??? I was just there, and everything looks the same as it has for months. Not everyone uses social media (clearly this includes myself), so all this stuff needs to get up on the website and be made as public a knowledge as possible, I'd say.
ASL Team is still working hard, and sounds like pulling out miracles is the order of the day - I have full faith they can do it if anyone can! However, if no one knows what's going on, then it'll all be for naught!

That is true, they are still selling tickets on the site. They probably shouldn't be as it appears at the moment that any ticket bought would be for 2021 at this point.
Still hopeful for the drive in show , it will be great if it happens.
