Well, I finally broke down and bought a couple general admission tickets for my son & I (I think The Wife just wanted us out of the house for a day  ). I may try to go find a place to watch from outside for the practice day on Friday.

Still going on Saturday, but I'm unable to get up there for Friday's practices. Disappointed in that, but I have other priorities on Friday. :(

I'm most looking forward to seeing the F-16 & A-10 demos, particularly for their paint schemes.

If the Demo teams are selling swag, pick up some extra coins, caps, patches and shirts and will buy from you. PM me if you want or put on eBay.

How was the show? How did they handle the Drive-In format?

First of all, the flying yesterday was really good. There could have been a bit more diversity in acts, but having all 4 ACC jet demo teams there was incredible. So the show tried to explain how things would work with crowds & COVID, but it seemed like a normal show in the general admission area. Many in the audience wore masks all the time which was nice, but social distancing was not really being followed. We did have a bit more space than usual. We walked around for a bit and only the F-22 Demo Team has a tent with merchandise. There were also only 2 statics, a C-5 and a T-38.

I've noticed a pretty sharp decline of static displays at shows in recent years. With the drive-in format some shows are adopting, they don't really make much sense. It will be interesting to see, when things return to normal, how dense the static display areas are.
