Just booked my flight and hotel. This will be my first visit to Chino. Planning on being at the airshow both days, possibly part of arrival day as well, and visiting some other museums and attractions in the area.

Really pumped for this. Chino has been a bucket-list show for me for a while and I'm excited to finally be able to make the trip!

Excited to be attending for the first time with @Copperbeltjack and @RFDGuy ! We will be starting in Chino before driving up through Cali to Beale the following weekend. I've wanted to go to Chino for years and it made too much sense to tack it on to this trip.

Definitely looking for advice on seating, layout, tips and tricks!

Chino is one of the shows you can't really mess up, whether you're a photographer or just observing. Anywhere on the fence line is good for photos, just get there early enough to get front row (us airshow fans usually do that anyway lol). I don't know if the parking lot or the gates open at 8. I believe it's the gates. So basically you take a tram or walk from the parking lot to the ramp. That's 15-20 minutes said and done. If the gates open at 8 and they stick to it, that means plan on arriving to park around 7:30 if you want to pick your best spot on the ramp and in the parking lot. We usually get seated by 8:15 or so and there's usually front row. It's not a huge crowd fighting for front row seats right off the bat. If you get the sunrise pass you'll be front row and get great pictures too. If you are there on Friday I believe the arrival environment is very relaxed and there's a TON going on. You can walk all around the ramp like the normal show and get an idea where you want to sit on Saturday and Sunday.

Adding onto this in regards to arrival Friday. You probably know it's not a big static show so military arrivals aren't the reason to go Friday. The cool part is POF doesn't really announce what planes are going to show up so you're the first to see the surprises. Comfortably Numb was a great surprise to see on the ramp last year. Generally there's always at least one Stang that wasn't there the previous year, that's always fun 8-)
