Just to add some more details, this is only open to 40 cars each night with drive-in style viewing. Tickets are $250 and I believe only open to members.
As for other aircraft, I imagine the Huey will be part of it and probably also Roush's P-51 Mustangs.
I'm curious where the viewing will be set up; quite possibly the museum parking lot which means very high flyovers.

Thanks for the extra info. I don't think there will be anything to special. They could possibly do a special 9/11 tribute flyover but that is just my idea.RyanS wrote: ↑Mon Aug 10, 2020 3:02 pm Just to add some more details, this is only open to 40 cars each night with drive-in style viewing. I also believe that the Yankee Air Museum has a Waco biplane that could possibly be a part of it.

YAM actually no longer has the Waco, but I haven't heard why they got rid of it.smalldude333 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 10, 2020 3:16 pm Thanks for the extra info. I don't think there will be anything to special. They could possibly do a special 9/11 tribute flyover but that is just my idea.

I imagine because it is so pricey people will park on the side of Ecorse Road and watch it (If the road is not closed for it).
I think the concern about off-site viewing is why they are sending this info to members only. So far they haven't said that it's supposed to be a secret, but I wouldn't be shocked if that's what they're going for. If the first one attracts a huge crowd, the others may get shut down.
Awesome info! I'd bet all of those are based at KYIP.smalldude333 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 10, 2020 3:43 pm The person that planned it emailed me the list of aircraft participating!

If they reach full capacity at the first flyover, they would probably still host the next two flyovers.
I am also wondering if they will have different aircraft on different days.
I believe only the C-47, B-17, B-25, and Huey are based at KYIP.

Cool (and pricy) idea. Nice way for members to support the museum.
YAM is also planning a "Speakeasy" event on September 19 to unveil the airworthy Ford Trimotor they just acquired. It is actually the oldest Ford Trimotor in existence. I'm assuming the fact that the museum no longer has the Waco is related to the acquisition of the Ford. More info on the museum events page:

YAM's website has added the aircraft list for Friday Night Flights under "More Details". Although it seems to be missing the SNV-1 and second PT-17.

The second PT-17 is officially not coming and the SNV-1 is now pending.
