Flying Legends of Victory Tour - LaPorte, IN
The CAF "Flying Legends of Victory Tour," featuring the B-17 Flying Fortress "Sentimental Journey" stopped in LaPorte, IN this past week. Saturday, the B-17 conducted a flyover of Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan communities to commemorate the 75th anniversary of V-J Day. I was able to spend a couple hours at the airport Saturday to see the departure for and arrival after the flyover as well as other flight operations. There were a few other interesting aircraft that flew in as well. This will probably be my only warbird bomber action of 2020 and I am thankful for the opportunity to have gotten to see it.
