EAA Air Venture Oshkosh 2021
Sweet! It's the KC show for me in a couple weeks then Air Venture. Getting kind of giddy. I think I have all my bases covered for Oshkosh.

Curious about what will be at Oshkosh 2021? Take a listen to the Green Dot Podcast here, trust me you’ll love what they have to announce.
Also for a more in-depth look at Osh 2021, EAA will be doing another webinar here within the next few weeks so keep an eye out for that as well.

Wish they had talked more on what’s coming for the desert storm theme

Some highlights:
AFSOC will open the Thursday show by "taking over" the airfield with 14 aircraft participating. Multiple Ospreys will be included.
Possible "Spooky" Heritage Flight with an AC-130 and AC-47.
The Friday and Saturday warbird shows will be a chronology of the war and could include salutes to the AVG, Eagle Squadron, Tora! Tora! Tora!, the Doolittle Raid and more. It was mentioned that Steve Hinton will fly an aerobatic demo in the Fagen P-38. Didn't hear any other specific warbirds mentioned but you can make educated guesses based on the above.
There will be a 30th anniversary celebration of Operation Desert Storm. Didn't hear of anything specific in the airshow but it sounds like there will be a major program at Theatre in the Woods.
Heard a C-17 mentioned as part of the focus on humanitarian aviation.
A little buzz on some new airshow performers for Oshkosh, all of which are already listed on the website.

They might cover that more so in the Webinar, like I said they go more in-depth usually with the webinar rather than the podcast. With the webinar they'll go day by day of what will happen. I can imagine they'll coincide the AFSOC deal with the 30th anniversary as well.Airshowlover811 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 12:10 am Wish they had talked more on what’s coming for the desert storm theme

Would be really awesome to have the raptor pair we had back in 2018 to occur while afsoc demo is happening. But I would assume they would use a-10s or F-16s insteadNate_Burrows wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 12:28 amThey might cover that more so in the Webinar, like I said they go more in-depth usually with the webinar rather than the podcast. Also does anyone see the snowbirds adding Oshkosh? They cancelled the show they had the weekend before and they were scheduled last year and it got cancelled so it would be a makeup.

Multiple AC-130s...oh my! Looks like the Desert Storm thing is a forum at the theatre in the woods as compared to an airshow. It lists Gen Chuck Horner as one of the guests. Count me in.

It’ll be more than just the theatre in the woods program. I’m sure they will have plenty of aircraft from that era as well. I could see a B-52 attending in some way
