We insist on keeping you informed about the setup of our event in these special times and the restrictions that will be applicable. As a result of the decisions taken by our federal government on July 19th, the following measures will apply. We also want to emphasize again that these measures can still change until shortly before the event and therefore recommend to continue to inform yourself and keep a sharp look on our newsletters and website until just before our event.
The International Sanicole Airshow prides itself in keeping safety and quality at the forefront. We will always ensure our visitors can have a prime experience in an optimal situation. This is why we have opted as organizers to go down a safe path for the setup of our 2021 event, which will raise the comfort and experience levels of our visitors.
That is why everyone who will visit our airshow at the age of 12 years or older will have to have a “Covid Safe Ticket”. This means that you have either been fully vaccinated for two weeks, or have passed a negative PCR test not older than 48 hours, or have a COVID-19 cure certificate. This “Covid Safe Ticket” is available to residents of the EU, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Each visitor will be checked for this on arrival at the car park in combination with his or her proof of identity to validate the authenticity of the "Covid Safe Ticket".
In addition visitors travelling to Belgium from abroad should respect the conditions to enter our country as published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the moment of our show and these can be different that the ones applicable to the Covid Safe Ticket.
On the showground we will stick to our concept of spreading our visitors eqaully over 5 sectors of 1.500 visitors each. Wearing a mouth mask is not mandatory within these sectors. Outside the sectors, we will at this moment maintain to the mouth mask obligation. This applies to any movement along the pedestrian boulevard and the rest of the site.

FYI I don't think Team Raven will be flying as a five-ship any time soon. They're also using all RV-8s, not RV-4s. Likewise, aren't Baby Blue a four-ship team rather than a five-ship?

With only a few days separating us from what promises to be a memorable 42nd International Sanicole Airshow, there are a few changes to the line-up for various reasons.

First of all, the Polish Flying Dragons will not be joining us for the Sunset Airshow. However, we look forward to welcoming the amazing sound and light spectacle of Jacob Hollander from Sweden to close the Sunset Airshow on Friday with his incredible laser and pyro act.

Jacob Hollander’s Catwalk routine which sees 2 ladies crawling around the Grumman Ag Cat biplane in a breathtaking show will also stand in for the Aerosuperbatic Wingwalkers who are sadly unable to attend the show this weekend.

The Swiss airforce has seen itself forced to withdraw the F-18 solo display for operational reasons, but the Patrouille suisse will still impress you with their precise and action-packed routine.

The Flying Bulls from Austria have informed us that their historic Bristol Sycamore has unfortunately developed a technical snag which will prevent it from flying and displaying in Belgium. However, they will instead blow you away with their stunning aerobatic Bo105 demonstration, defying gravity with incredible aerobatics you wouldn’t associate with helicopters.

Finally, the Dutch Hawker Hunter Foundation will present this legendary classic jet fighter at our show, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the type.

The International Sanicole Airshow weekend was a little different this year with three airshow days from Friday through to Sunday. However, the Friday remained as the traditional sunset airshow with nearly three hours of flying as the sun lowered in the sky and twilight set in over the Belgian countryside. A full review and more images for the 9th Sanicole Sunset Airshow can be found HERE.

For enthusiasts, the Spottersday at Kleine Brogel Air Base is an integral part of the Sanicole Airshow weekend. With the Sanicole Airshow running over three days and the based 31 Squadron hosting the ‘XT-Roar-Dinary 60th Anniversary Tiger Meet’ the event was expanded running on the normal Saturday and also the following Monday. More images and a full review can be found HERE.

Last one from Sanicole I promise!

The centrepiece of the International Sanicole Airshow weekend is the main daytime show. For 2021 this was expanded to two days to compensate for restricted crowd numbers. Despite the extra day and smaller crowd numbers, the event was reassuringly familiar with over 7 hours of flying displays from perhaps the most international cast of flying displays seen anywhere this year. The show also took time on the Sunday to mark the 60th Anniversary of the NATO Tiger Association with a very unique fly-by lead by Kleine Brogel based 31 Squadron. A full review and image gallery can be found HERE.
