2021 Abbotsford International Airshow
Thanks Viper93 - any idea when the Snowbirds might be in the air?

I am hearing now that the F-22 will be practicing at 7:45. Things always change. Snowbirds, no clue.

The Raptor tore it up yesterday evening! Here's the proof!

Thoughts from last night- Great first night of the show overall. Weather cooperated and we had some amazing cloud formations as a backdrop. The drive in format worked great. We were in the blue zone, had a lot of space and easy access to facilities. Felt the lineups in were better than previous years. We showed up right at 430 and were in in about 25min which isn't bad. And it was about the same getting out. Static displays and vendors were definitely missed but I'm happy we got a show! And it's something to look forward to next year
As for the show itself, H2 did a great MC job as usual. They had a lot of filler to add because of the changes to the schedule. There was no mention of what happened to jodi Rutger, she was scheduled to be the opening act. Did they cancel her because of the fire ops? The only movement i saw last night was a bird dog departure.
And mechanical issues forced the F22 to return to Whidbey unfortunately. I'm curious, I know they travel in 2s. Is using the other aircraft not an option? The safety CF18 did the simulated aar demo with the polaris, cool to see them utilize both ac.
The snowbirds, the CF18, the Rhino and the yak 110 were the highlights of a great evening
Going again tomorrow and looking forward to a full show!
