Make it a dozen and a half
Caribou is down for the count for awhile, got a little "hot" during a runup.Bretten Bailey wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 1:20 pm As for the museum’s former Caribou that is now owned by John Bagely, it still has a lot of work to be done. It had the work done to get it to ferrying status but a lot has to be done to it before it can start being flown regularly again. Makes it an unlikely candidate for this year but it will be around in future years for sure (and it’s history at the airport will make its return trips special)

The article is a little misleading about the showtimes. The gates open at 7:30 and noon, the shows don't start then.n33d4sp33d_85 wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 4:20 pm https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/ ... 954969001/

Bretten Bailey - Aerial Actions Airshows & Ballooning
From TOM’s Facebook page for those that have tickets to both the morning and afternoon show:
“When you arrive present your morning ticket at the gates. When first show is over you stay in your spot until all other vehicles leave. Staff will ask you to show your afternoon ticket. You will have the option to stay in your current spot or staff can direct you to the front.”

Website is updated but still no Aircraft List up. Can't wait to see the list of aerial displays this year. As mentioned on their website and kind of obvious, there will be a lot more aerial flybys and performances.

With only about two hours of flying, I'm wondering how much they will try to cram in. If you figure the F-35 takes 30 minutes and the Thunderbirds take an hour, that's only an hour and a half to fly all of the B-25s, the Growler/Legacy Flight, and whatever else. TOM is kind of known for having lulls in the action as aircraft taxi and such; they will have to work on that to make the best use of the limited window, especially with what they are charging.smalldude333 wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 7:28 pm Website is updated but still no Aircraft List up. I guess the F-35 is still slated to participate. Could it be in jeopardy or late enough in the season to be a sure thing?
