At this point you outlined all the possibilities. WHF could send the Skyraider or Moonbeam and the Corsair, or KWH comes for the Legacy. I think it comes down to who is certified for HF and LF this year, but I think Milson and Scooter will be the guys in charge. I still find it weird that Scooter is a Legacy pilot and I'm not sure if Tobul is...? I spoke with WHF and they don't even really know what is being sent where and are waiting for the pandemic to really wind down to the point where the summer shows are cleared.kalamazookid wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 7:02 pmThe Instagram story with his schedule release said "Legacy Flight Only." Not sure whether that means he'll be flying "Korean War Hero" or another Corsair.robert16627 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 6:31 pm I read that Scooter was attending TOM, Was he bringing his P-51 "Quicksilver" or a F-4 Corsair? I've been hearing mixed reports.
Would be pretty cool if the Skyraider is indeed flying in the Heritage Flight. I have yet to see one involving a Skyraider - I always seem to miss those days at Oshkosh. When I saw the WHF schedule I assumed it would be Moonbeam.

TOM has stopped selling tickets for this year's show... maybe drive-in style this year?

I got some mail from them today.
I’ll let them do a big announcement about it. But the membership web page has this text on it that goes along with what the mail said:
Benefit not valid for the 2021 Drive-In Show

If I heard correctly, the date for that 2021 Drive-In show was June 22nd? The reason I ask is because the RCAF Snowbirds are scheduled to be in Hanover Canada that day.

To me, it is a bit confusing because I messaged YAM and they planned to have a drive in Snowbirds display on June 22, but they said "some things came up." But they are pushing for it, if I am being 100% honest, I think Hanover may have budget issues and be forced to cancel. I don't know however if they are talking about TOM in that statement or the June 22 evening show.robert16627 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 30, 2021 1:04 amIf I heard correctly, the date for that 2021 Drive-In show was June 22nd? One thing to keep in mind is that some states (or local governments) may have attendance restrictions at events. Perhaps YAM is at a point where they feel comfortable with what they have sold under what current guidance says and will release more ticket sales if/when there is more clarity on what attendance might look like.

The thing I find weird about the Hanover airshow, is that I don't see any advertising or Facebook pages for it. The one and only place where I see anything is here on these forums, so I'd assume that the airshow for them may not go on.smalldude333 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 30, 2021 1:28 amTo me, it is a bit confusing because I messaged YAM and they planned to have a drive in Snowbirds display on June 22, but they said "some things came up." The Snowbirds do a lot of Wednesday evening shows in very small markets that can't support a full airshow. It is more of a public practice by the team than anything. Sometimes the only info that gets put out is a mention in the local news or something like that. However, it's also common for these to be canceled just as quietly as they are planned, so it's tough to know until the team puts out something official.robert16627 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 30, 2021 4:14 am The thing I find weird about the Hanover airshow, is that I don't see any advertising or Facebook pages for it. The word from TOM is out (to members at least) and they are indeed moving to a drive-in format for 2021.
They have also added a new wrinkle which I think will frustrate most hardcore fans: The show will be split into a morning session (featuring the F-35 demo) and an afternoon session (featuring the Thunderbirds). No word yet on any additional acts at each show, but I assume there will be some. Possibly the same aircraft that flew for the Friday Night Flights shows last year? That's just a guess.
There does not appear to be any 'combo' ticket for the full day, so likely everyone will be kicked out after the morning and then have to re-enter and re-park.
Hopefully they can clarify soon because members only have a 48 hour window (next week) to buy tickets before they go up to the normal price of $165-$185 per car.
