YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Thunder Over Michigan 2021
Blues are 100% confirmed. They will be on site with the A400, F-35, EA-18's, and Texan's. Tbirds are off site.
Waiting on a few more B-25 confirmations.
Waiting on confirmation of what will be alongside the F-35 in the HF, so add another warbird to the list at bare minimum.
Curious to see if anymore static military will make the list to fill up the ramp even more than it is already.

So did the Thunderbirds cancel then, if they are off the website? or do you mean they will be staging somewhere else then flying over?GRNDP51 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 15, 2021 1:14 am Blues are 100% confirmed. They will be on site with the A400, F-35, EA-18's, and Texan's. Tbirds are off site.

Thunderbirds did not cancel. They just won't be staging out of Willow Run.robert16627 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 15, 2021 3:37 amSo did the Thunderbirds cancel then, if they are off the website? or do you mean they will be staging somewhere else then flying over?GRNDP51 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 15, 2021 1:14 am Blues are 100% confirmed. Ah ok, Thanks for the clarification. Bummer we won't see both teams resting together on the ramp at Willow Run.Bretten Bailey wrote: ↑Thu Jul 15, 2021 3:43 amThunderbirds did not cancel. In a facebook comment, Thunder said the F-35 will also stage remotely along with the Tbirds.

On one hand, remote shows are kind of lame. Takeoff is usually the best part of any demo.
On the other hand, the runway is far enough away from the crowd that we won't miss all that much!
Still a strange set up. Hopefully not a long-term thing.

Any one Know which airport T-Birds and F-35 will stage out of?smalldude333 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 3:00 pm In a facebook comment, Thunder said the F-35 will also stage remotely along with the T-birds.
F-35—Demo team has a minimum runway length requirement of 7,000 feet (per 2021 Demo Team Support Manual (Link Below)
MY GUESS would be Selfridge (KMTC)
OPTIONS = AIRPORTs within 60 miles with a runway length greater than 7000 FT
Detroit-Wayne (DTW) = 12,000 ft runway | 13 miles from YIP
Toledo (TOL) = 10,600 ft runway | 46 miles from YIP
Selfridge (KMTC) 9000 ft runway | 47 miles from YIP
Flint (FNT) = 7800 ft runway | 50 Miles from YIP
Lansing (LAN) = 8500 ft runway | 61 miles from YIP
OUT
Pontiac (PTK) = 6500 fr runway
Detroit Metro (DET) = 5092 ft runway
