Thunder Over Michigan 2021
Any good viewing spots outside the airport grounds? I would be coming over and lodging for the night with my sons (which will be high already) - trying to avoid the astronomical price for each airshow.

There's a ton of spots around KYIP. Depending on whether or not the WCAA and MSP kicks people out during the Thunderbirds performance and if it the traffic is in a South Flow pattern, Ecorse Road is a good spot between Beck and Denton Rd. If the traffic is north flow, Tyler road(It's a big grassy area) by the 5R Ils structures is a good area where you'll be left alone by security, there were a ton of us there in 2019 for the whole day and no one said anything us. Then, depending on where they park, that's kind of more on the riskier side because you can only get clear shots near the building/hanger and they do NOT like photographers there for whatever random reason.

Per their website, EAA's B-25 "Berlin Express" will be attending and selling rides. A recent restoration "Berlin Express" is the scheme it wore in the movie Catch 22.

There’s a really beautiful B-25 that will also be attending with a very special C-47.
I’ll leave it at that and allow Michael to have his fun .

I'm assuming that means "That's All, Brother" is also coming since they are operated by the same wing.Bretten Bailey wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 11:01 pmMy bad, I had forgotten that "Yellow Rose" was already announced.Airshowlover811 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 5:39 pmI’m gonna guess American AirPower museums “Miss Hap” and their C-47Bretten Bailey wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 4:18 pm There’s a really beautiful B-25 that will also be attending with a very special C-47.

I don't think there is confirmation on Miss Hap yet, so assuming this would be Yellow Rose and TAB from context here.kalamazookid wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 11:32 pmI'm assuming that means "That's All, Brother" is also coming since they are operated by the same wing.Bretten Bailey wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 11:01 pmMy bad, I had forgotten that "Yellow Rose" was already announced.Airshowlover811 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 5:39 pm
