I thought it was 16th & 17th featuring the Blue Angels, bit somewhat puzzled by this, probably still sorting out the schedule? Probably leakage of information, but not confirmed "official" yet? Somewhat Confused here if someone can briefly explain hows that? (Have no knowledge of how the schedules function?)
No more sorting out of the schedule....this IS the sorted out schedule. When the jet teams release their schedules on the two year cycle (so one is always an advance year), there are always some things that will change (and even more so for the 2021 & 2022 schedules still because of the ongoing pandemic).

When the Thunderbirds schedule was released last year, it was bit odd that their schedule ended in early October. Not usually like the Thunderbirds to do so.

Now, it appears that they picked up additional dates after that. The Blue Angels will be at the Fort Worth Alliance Air Show the weekend of LA County and that showsite probably worked better logistically on those dates than Lancaster did. Likewise, it probably worked great for the Thunderbirds and that's why they'll be there.

It's a complex process of making sure the demo teams are best spread across the nation and making sure that they don't appear together either. Lots of communication, but by the time it is released, its usually finalized (obviously, schedules do often change with cancellations and such). There have been a few occasions where teams just didn't release their schedule in the morning session at the convention because it was just, simply, not ready or signed off on yet.

EDIT: When I just double checked the schedule released prior to this release, the Blue Angels were already scheduled at Fort Worth and not LA County.

Already one revision from the Thunderbirds; the first show was listed as Titusville but they are now saying Cocoa Beach instead.

The United States Air Force Thunderbirds have announced their Thunderbird 2 officer selection for the 2021-2022 air show seasons. Major Ian “Bear” Lee, of the 79th Fighter Squadron at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, will serve as the Left Wing pilot and fly as close as three feet from Thunderbird 1 during each demonstration.

Major Lee is a skilled, experienced F-16 pilot with over 1,700 flight hours, including more than 470 combat hours over Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and the Arabian Gulf. Lee is also a former F-16 Viper Instructor, serving with the 8th Fighter Squadron at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico. He is a 2010 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he double majored in Economics and management. The Thunderbirds stated that they are “excited for him to join the team and carry on the mission of representing America’s Air Force!”

Major Lee joins the team after Major Trevor Aldridge was not able to continue due to unexpected health reasons. The remainder of the demonstration pilots will remain on the team for 2021, although Major Zane Taylor and Major Michael Brewer will swap positions for the upcoming season. Major Taylor will transition to the Right Wing Pilot and fly the number 3 jet, and Major Brewer will transition to the Slot Pilot and fly the number 4 jet. This is to ensure continuity of experience and preserve the Thunderbirds’ future aerial demonstration capabilities and readiness.
