Hello everyone,
This October, I am planning to attend the Pacific Airshow as I have done the past 3 years. Do you guys think the pier seating (which is 20 dollars more) is worth it? I feel like the pier won't be as great as the website advertises it and most of the aircraft would be further then anticipated. I would greatly appreciate a response as the airshow is in a month

Probably not worth it unless you really want that experience for the Thunderbirds mainly.
You can actually pick a spot on the beach to the far north or south of show center that will offer nearly the same experience with the fighters entering their passes right over the crowd. I was at the far North the first year, and the Super Hornet entered one of the passes directly overhead low and LOUD. Probably the loudest airshow experience I've ever had. I think the next year I was on the far South and the Blues exited their passes directly overhead which is really loud too. Even though it might seem like you are far from show center, it's not nearly as detached as it seems. I would highly recommend going far north or south.

I guess if you are going multiple days, you could do Pier seating one day and then far north/south the other days as GRNDP51 suggests.Htx2018 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 5:46 am Hello everyone,

I am thinking about attending in 2023 along with Miramar (off topic, I know lol) , and was definately thinking about the Pier for at least 1 day. It's also $20 cheaper to do the pier on Friday vs Sat/Sun.

For those that have attended before, what's a good place to park near the pier? I'm planning to arrive somewhat late (around noon), so I'm not sure how far I have to leave my car and walk...

Looks like Huntington Beach will be the debut of Greg Colyer's 2-ship display with Rob "Scratch" Mitchell.
