EAA Airventure Oshkosh 2022
Has anyone seen anything about Warbirds in Review for this year? Normally there would be a schedule out around now telling us which warbirds and speakers are appearing during the week.

Hi,
Having retired during Covid I am making my first visit to Oshkosh this year with a group from the UK.
The information on this forum has really helped with my planning so thank you to all who have contributed.
Whilst at Oshkosh I want to visit the Basler Turbo facility. They have been helpful in letting me know that they are doing tours and several of the group are interested.
What I need to know is whether there is any transport from the showgrounds to the facility? If push comes to shove we can take our vans from the Uni but it would be easier if we could use 'show' transport.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Mikey

Anyone know which P-39Q they reference in Warbirds in Review? The Lewis P-39 isn't on their event calendar for Osh. Perhaps "Miss Connie" from CAF Central Texas Wing?

It’s the CAFs. It’ll be at the Wings of the North Air Expo the weekend prior.

Basler is across the runway from all of the EAA activities so it's not readily accessible. Nothing really happens over there show wise. I have never heard of any official transport there and I would be shocked if there was one as 'the public' has no reason to go there. I suspect you will probably need to take your own vans to drive around to the east side.mikey northampton wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 10:38 am Hi,

We've cruised Basler to check it out during Oshkosh before, but I don't know whether anything would actually be accessible to look at or tour. We just drove by to see what was there. There are a lot of C-47/DC-3 airframes and sometimes the hangar doors are open. Some of the DC-3/C-47s participating in Airventure will sometimes park on their ramp for parts of the week.

Basler Turbo Facility
Thanks to those who replied.
I've booked a tour direct with Basler for 8 of us. The other 10 are on a waitlist. The trip is easy as we are staying at the University and it is only a 4 mile trip. Using our own vans the journey is about 10 minutes.
Looking forward to the whole Oshkosh experience.
