They said if Jared is able to bring it which is the current plan. It will be static and it will be flying multiple days.

I'm hoping at least one of the heavies will either perform or at least have its arrival incorporated into the airshow. I recall C-5 and KC-10 arrivals being part of the show before and that's always fun if they aren't going to perform a demo.

Hello Everyone, I will be attending my very first Oshkosh this year. Seeing that it's looking to be a good one, I just had 2 quick questions to ask. Thank you for your time.

1) Do the Military teams that attend demo or static sell any patches from there squadron?

2) What are your must see's to make this the best possible trip? I will be attending the whole week with either the Saturday or Sunday before the show arrival and leaving that Sunday on the 31st.

-Typically the demo teams will be selling their merchandise at some point during the week. It would typically be when they move one of their jets to Boeing Plaza.

2) What are your must see's to make this the best possible trip? I will be attending the whole week with either the Saturday or Sunday before the show arrival and leaving that Sunday on the 31st.
-I am a big fan of watching arrivals on Saturday/Sunday before the official opening. It is a very relaxed atmosphere, you get to see aircraft that will be static all week, and the mass arrivals are pretty cool to experience.
-Definitely catch one of the night airshows. Nothing beats afterburners at night and the fireworks show is very impressive.
-Arrive early and head over the warbird alley. There is always an early morning mustang flight and you can be a few feet away when those merlins are cranking up.
-Check out the ultralight airfield. Those folks are very impressive with their short takeoff and landings.
-I hear the seaplane base is a nice break from the hectic action of airventure. Never been myself, but plan on going someday.
-Drink a few Spotted Cows... they are delicious!

The Air Force demo teams set up a swag tent, and other static aircraft almost always set up a table to sell stuff for the days they are on display.

Since you're attending the whole week, you should see all of the major stuff like the night shows and different performances. There are always multiple things going on at once and you'll never see everything. You may want to see the presentations at Theater in the Woods, or check out the nightly movie on the big inflatable screen. I personally don't worry about that stuff. I would suggest you check out all of the grounds ranging from the Ultralight area at the south (they have a grass runway separate from the main traffic flow) to Warbirds in the north.

When you aren't doing anything specific, plan to just sit on the flight line and watch the traffic come and go. The 'arrivals' period before and after the official airshow is the best part of AirVenture. The seaplane base is neat but not a must-do for your first time. It will take up most of a morning to go there and you'll miss out on the arrivals while you're gone.
