Dover has a large ramp and there is little to no grass so everything is on concrete or asphalt; I got a good look at it from the air today and it's large! By the looks of the map on the website and from what David Schultz alluded to, all parking is on the ramp and everything is in walking distance.Gwicks wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 6:31 pmI'm stunned at the temperature forecasted, 93F and it keeps rising, then we're in the 60s Monday, crazy.n33d4sp33d_85 wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 12:02 pm A heads up for those planning to go on Saturday. Be sure to drink plenty of gatorade and water as the temperature on Saturday is expected to be around 92.
Now I'm worried about my 75yo Father walking and standing in the heat, after buying $200 worth of nonrefundable tickets.
Does anyone know how they handle parking ? Is it on grass and walking to the show or is it remote lots and busses ?

I saw the T Birds and Blues arrived today. Guess I must've been in school when they showed up because typically at home I see everything that comes into Dover

Per the FAQ page, the camera bag has to be no bigger than 12"x12".AiShowFan4208 wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 11:12 pm Is a normal sized bookbag allowed? Bringing my camera so was just wondering what types of bags are allowed

Has a show ever been cancelled because of excessive heat? I have been attending airshows since I was about 8 years old and I cannot ever remember one with 94 degree temperatures. I still plan on attending, but this is going to be absolutely brutal.
People in general aren't particularly bright, so you could run into a situation where a large numbers of folks that didn't hydrate properly are getting heat stroke. I do wonder how much this heat will impact attendance. I would guess a lot of people will be watching the show from their air conditioned cars in the parking lot for a portion of the afternoon (I may be one of them).

Highly doubtful, we've been to some REAL hot shows. Heat index in the 100s and they still go. I'd be shocked if it cancels for heat.

Not to mention humidity won't be terrible either

Yeah honestly I didn't think so. I couldn't recall a single circumstance when one was cancelled because of heat. Hopefully you are right on the humidity. That accompanied with a nice breeze sure could help, but at the end of the day 94 is 94, but better than 100 to be sure. Haha.

Yeah, humidity is only 50% which is pretty nice, and there will be some windMattEv14 wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 1:48 pm Yeah honestly I didn't think so.
