Dover AFB Open House & Airshow/Thunder Over Dover 2022
So where is the Museum gate? I don't see it on the map... Anyone with experience know?

I would assume it's the same as the museum entrance, which is off of Route 9 (Exit 91 from DE-1, both directions).

Hi all, this will be my first time attending this airshow. I was wondering what time is best to beat the crowd and get the best spot at the show? Thanks! And does anyone know of there will be any addiction performances other than the ones listed?

The gates open at 9. If you like the front row, that is the optimum arrival time.Ericanstine wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 1:04 am Hi all, this will be my first time attending this airshow. Dover has done a good job with the website and schedule. I think we can trust its accuracy in performances although some acts and statics can drop due to mechanical issues.

A heads up for those planning to go on Saturday. Be sure to drink plenty of gatorade and water as the temperature on Saturday is expected to be around 92.

Coolers and large bags significantly delay the security screening process for shows as large as Dover AFB. With the expected attendance, the Dover AFB folks are utilizing a large portion of the ramp for car parking which allows for quick access to the public area and static display each day.
We recommend allowing extra time for parking, security screening, and for exiting after the airshow. There will be significant traffic in the area both days as this will be a great airshow with lots of airplanes in the air and on the ground and it also looks like we will have good weather.

Yeah I understand the reasoning behind no coolers, it's just unfortunate for a warmer dayschultzairshows wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 4:04 pm Coolers and large bags significantly delay the security screening process for shows as large as Dover AFB. I'm stunned at the temperature forecasted, 93F and it keeps rising, then we're in the 60s Monday, crazy.n33d4sp33d_85 wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 12:02 pm A heads up for those planning to go on Saturday. Now I'm worried about my 75yo Father walking and standing in the heat, after buying $200 worth of nonrefundable tickets.
Does anyone know how they handle parking ? Is it on grass and walking to the show or is it remote lots and busses ?
