We are putting the final blocks together for the 2022 Airshow.

Given the events in Ukraine, we are not going to promise specific military acts. Please remember that these are business machines, and the unwarranted aggression against Ukraine is changing the landscape in real time. We will stand back and let our men and women in Canada, NATO, and elsewhere challenge this awful decision by Russia. Hence, all acts that are unconfirmed will be switched to TBD.

Please send your prayers, donations, and support to those in need.

Prices will be announced in April.

Looks like the Erickson Aircraft Collection from Madras, Oregon will be sending their F8F Bearcat, P-51 Mustang, P-40 Warhawk and F4U Corsair to Edmonton this August.

This is a great little airshow with good proximity to hot zone/taxiway/runway and excellent light throughout the show. I highly recommend checking it out if you're able to.

Postponed until next year.

From the news release:

2022 Edmonton International Airshow Postponed

EDMONTON, AB – August 5, 2022 - The Edmonton International Airshow organizing team is announcing with regret the postponement of the 2022 Airshow scheduled for Villeneuve Airport August 12-14, 2022.

In addition to challenges scheduling military assets with our allies due to world events, there was also a recent incident with the Snowbirds’ performance in Fort St. John, which is now under investigation. We stand with our military colleagues as they follow the appropriate measures to ensure the safety of the 431 Aerial Display Squadron — Canada’s beloved Snowbirds.

Looking ahead to 2023, the Edmonton International Airshow will continue to serve as a global investment and tourism attraction event in Alberta. The organizing team is excited to see the Airshow’s exposition growth in key areas for the aviation sector: career development, supply chain expansion, investment development and attraction, and of critical importance, youth engagement in STEM education and aerospace development.

We look forward to working with stakeholders, business partners and the thousands and thousands of aviation enthusiasts in Edmonton and throughout Canada and our allied countries, to develop next year’s Edmonton International Airshow. Thank you in advance for your support.

Please note, that all ticket purchases made for the 2022 Edmonton International Airshow will be refunded in full. For more information, please submit inquiries to [email protected].
