Any chance this show just cancels? The weather is looking terrible for this weekend and both shows might be ruined by weather

Saturday looks like a total wash. Probably just going to stay home. Sucks.

Yep and severe storms on Friday. And what do you know Sunday will be perfect out. This show can’t catch a break.

Yeah, this would be my fourth trip and the only year with good weather was 2018 - even then, they had wait for ceilings to lift most of the morning. Super frustrating.

It truly is. That year and the first year they had it have been the only good weather years they have had it I believe.

We're pressing forward and hoping for the best presently. The forecast can still change (and we hope it does).

Last year, Saturday's forecast was looking rather good up until about 27 hours before. Then it was all downhill from there.

We're hoping that the forecast does the opposite. But yeah, pushed dates back and still get a bad looking forecast. Really hopeful that we can get Friday in, it can do what it wants overnight and we'll take parking from there, and then hope that it clears up for Saturday.

2018 definitely gave off 2017 vibes where it didn't look good but then cleared out to be a wonderful day. 2020, of course, had BEAUTIFUL weather on our weekend, but we had cancelled due to COVID.

We will post updates if it does come to the unfortunate point that a day has to be cancelled. At the moment though, we are pressing forward and it will be taken on a day-by-day basis.

I think the rain will be on its way out Sat AM for hopefully lifting ceilings in the afternoon. Just 2 days ago the National Weather Service "experts" were calling for sunny and mid 60's for Sat. If it does rain, just bad luck (again).

Last night's projections were for storms late Friday night (i.e., after sunset).

What happens (on not) on Friday is also dependent, in part, on today. The weather today is pretty good. Do you know if aircraft are arriving today or what will be on the field tomorrow?

Tomorrow is my only opportunity (and unfortunately, I have to leave before the night start) and I'll probably drive over regardless.

thanks,

srd

I've been following FlightAware and social media today and it looks like at least a few aircraft have made it in - Yankee Lady, a C-47, a C-45 and a few T-6s in addition to the C-47 and TBM that were already there. Haven't really gotten a good feel for whether many aircraft are going to show up.

I tried hard to arrange things so I could go tomorrow, but it just isn't going to happen and Saturday looks awful. The only way I will be out there Saturday is if there's at least a three-hour window with 40 percent chance of rain or less, which looks highly unlikely. Hopefully, those of you who can make it tomorrow will have a good time and see something worthwhile.
