Late "Arrival" to the Bluebonnet Airshow attendee-list: a Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star named "Silver Eagle" that is based in San Marcos, TX. The T-33 was first produced in the late 40's and was operated by the Bolivian Air Force until 2017!!! We're still hammering out the "deets", so stay tuned!!! #BluebonnetAirShow #highlandlakessquadron #commemorativeairforce #AFFlyover #burnettexas

The CJ-6 is the basic trainer aircraft designed and built by Nanchang Aircraft Factory. The aircraft is use by the PLAAF and PLANAF for basic flight training. Although the aircraft has been flying for over four decades, it still provides reliable performance and may well remain in service for some years to come. Today's operators include: Albanian Air Force, Bangladesh Air Force, Royal Cambodian Air Force, Ecuadorian Army Aviation, People's Liberation Army Air Force, People's Liberation Army Navy Air Force, North Korean Air Force, Lao People's Liberation Army Air Force, Sri Lanka Air Force, Military of Tanzania, and the Zambian Air Force.
Cool, eh? You know what else is cool? THE PILOT. Rick Kelley who currently serves as the Operations Officer for the Highland Lakes Squadron will amaaaaaze you with his aerobatic routine in the CJ-6. 3.19.2022 #BluebonnetAirShow #highlandlakessquadron #commemorativeairforce #AFFlyover #burnettexas
Perhaps the most celebrated C-47 still flying today... Over 75 years ago, on June 6, 1944, That’s All, Brother led the main airborne invasion of Normandy. Piloted by Lt. Col John Donalson, the plane led over 800 C-47s that dropped over 13,000 paratroopers into a battle that changed the course of mankind. That's RIGHT Brother - we'll have 'em!!! 3.19.2022 #BluebonnetAirShow #highlandlakessquadron #commemorativeairforce #AFFlyover #burnettexas #ThatsAllBrother

The Serial Number is 44-86758 and was built in Fairfax - Kansas City, Kansas in early 1945. LATE BOOKING: Randy Ball and his MIG-17!!! This subsonic fighter was first produced in 1952... it is STILL used today by the North Korean Air Force! This airplane has a maximum speed of 680 mph and a service ceiling of 54,000 ft. No worries though, he'll make sure he's low enough to see and fast enough to work out those kinks in your neck! This is shaping up to be one of the best Bluebonnet Airshows: 1) in a LONG time 2) EVER!!! Time will tell... 3.19.2022 TIX -->www.bluebonnetairshow.com #BluebonnetAirShow #highlandlakessquadron #AFFlyover #commemorativeairforce #burnettexas #RandyBall #FighterJetsInc
