For the first #phoonfriday post of the year, the Typhoon Display Team is proud to announce this year’s pilot, with the call-sign ANARCHY1 as… Flight Lieutenant Adam O’Hare!

Eager to start his work up, Adam said “It's an absolute dream come true to be given this opportunity. I can not wait for the year that lies ahead. Being able to display the incredible Eurofighter Typhoon all over the UK and overseas whilst hopefully inspiring the future generations of the RAF will be a memory that stays with me forever"

Organisers of the Cosford Airshow confirmed long-standing rumours on today's RAF Inside AIR podcast that the Typhoon team intends to do a display with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight this year:
The Typhoon this year is hoping to do almost a joint display with the BBMF, which will be very nice to see, and we will be the first airshow to see that, if it's PDA'd
Previously, the BBMF hinted that one of their fighters would be displaying with a modern RAF jet this year, but didn't reveal any specifics.

This would suggest the Spit and Typhoon will only be doing one pass together, rather than a full 10-minute Synchro Pair display as in 2015.
