61 years ago today:
on this date in 1959 the Douglas DC-8 entered service with Delta and United.


58 years ago today:
On this date in 1962 the revised Tri-Service Designation System made alphabet soup of alphanumerical aircraft designations. A great example of the changes made to the designations was the Douglas A3D/A-3 Skywarrior.
