Argentine Navy Receives Five Former French Navy Super Etendards

Post by n33d4sp33d_85 » Fri Mar 06, 2020 11:41 pm

First sighting 'new' Super Etendard in Argentine Navy markings

Argentina's 'new' Super Etendard Modernisées (SEM) for the Comando de Aviación Naval (Argentina Navy) are in the process of being prepared to enter flight testing. This youtube footage shows former Aéronautique Navale serial 44 testing its Atar 8K50 engine at Bahia Blanca/Comdte Espora airbase (province of Buenos Aires).

Scramble Magazine does not dare to speculate at which point in time the five former French Navy airframes (serials 1, 31, 41, 44 and 57) will join the ranks of 2 Escuadrilla Aeronaval de Caza y Ataque (EA32) and receive codes 3-A-215 to 219 (tie-ups to be confirmed). The aircraft arrived in Argentina May 2019 *).
