#throwback to 1995 and some rare images from the cockpit of Esquadrilha da Fumaça ("Smoke Squadron") - the national aerobatic team of Brazil - over Mt. Baker.

Esquadrilha da Fumaça appeared at Abbotsford four times including 3 consecutive years from 1985-1987. In 1995, they appeared alongside two other national teams: the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and Escuadrilla de Alta Acrobacia Halcones ("Chilean Hawks")

Following the news report with fine 3d MAW pictures of the F-35Bs on board the HMS Queen Elizabeth, a very fine videoclip appeared with first flights ops from the North Sea.

Great set of shots from Poland of a very special formation! Siły Powietrzne / Polish Air Force with 4x Mig-29 & 2x Su-22 and Força Aérea Portuguesa with 2x F-16M Viper. The Portuguese F-16's are currently deployed to the 22nd Tactical Air Base in Malbork to train together with the Polish Air Force and other partners under NATO Assurance Measures.

Amazing shot of the RAFAT Red Arrows in their trademark diamond nine formation as they get ready for the spaghetti break! This amazing shot has been taken by corporal Adam Fletcher from the back seat of Red 10 flown by Squadron leader Adam Collins

Last week Ilmavoimat (Finnish Air Force) F/A-18 Hornets from HävLLv 31 (Fighter Squadron 31) at Kuopio/Rissala trained their aerial refueling skills with a KC-135R Stratotanker of the 351st Air Refueling Squadron "Anytime Anyplace Anywhere" from RAF Mildenhall.

The goal of the aerial refueling exercises, which are conducted twice a year with the US Air Force, is to train, maintain and renew the air refueling qualifications of Finnish fighter pilots. Completing the that qualification is part of the training cyclus of Hornet pilots.

The name of the exercise is Ilmatankkausharjoitus 2/20 (Air Refueling Exercise 2/20). The aircraft were refueled in the training area between Rovaniemi, Kuusamo, Kajaani and Oulu in Finnish airspace.

A Belarus Air Force MiG-29 was seen during the Belarussian/Russian "Slavic Brotherhood" exercise. A unique air to air video we think!

The Belarusian MiG-29s are based at Baranovichi and belong to the 61st Fighter Air Base (61 IAB). Scramble assesses that some forty MiG-29S and eight MiG-29UBs are still more-or-less operational within the Belarussian Air Force, including this 48 red.
