The Flyvevåbnet (RDAF, Royal Danish Air Force) F-35A Lightning II, serial L-001 (construction number AP-1) in full colors while the stealth aircraft was towed over the Lockheed Martin facilities at Fort Worth (TX).

The aircraft was rolled-out early January 2021 (see Scramble News 26 January 2021) but was not finished with a paint-job. The aircraft wears Foreign Military Sales serial 19-5530 and is part of the LM Low Rate Initial Production 8 line.

It is expected that the F-35A will be delivered to the 308th FS at Luke AFB (AZ) in April 2021. The Danish government ordered 27 Lightning IIs with final deliveries in 2026.

Great picture of an Iraqi Army Aviation Mi-35M of the 35th Attack Helicopter Squadron, nicknamed Knights of Sky.

The Mi-35 attack helicopters of Iraq are based at Taji air base, just north of Baghdad and assigned to the Combat Helicopter Wing (CHW). The helicopters are often forward deployed to support Iraqi ground troops in their fight against terrorism.

The CHW is also operating with Bell 407s (IA-407, T-407 and 407GX) assigned to the 21 Assault Helicopter Squadron as well as EC635T2s with the 55th Assault Helicopter Squadron and SA342M Gazelles with the 88th Assault Training Squadron.

The Bell 407 is also designated as IA-407 (Iraqi Army 407 and ARH-70 (Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter).

This YI-370 is one of 28 Mi-35Ms the Iraqi Army Aviation once owned. At least six were written off or withdrawn from use after combat use. Some were shot down in the fierce battle, others were badly damaged, were able to return to base but were eventually cannibalized. Scramble is assessing that some 50-60% of the original delivered number is still operational.

Baz refules its Charly with KC-130T 162309/309 (c/n 382-4974) of VX-20, a tanker also originating from Patuxent River.

The ITF is using the following F-35s, all assigned to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 23 Salty Dogs, also knowns as Strike. Following the Scramble News of 3 March 2021, "Two Lightning IIs have landed aboard Italian aircraft carrier ITS Cavour", the US Navy revealed some very nice photos of F-35B 168717/69 of Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 23 Strike ('SD-xx') passing high over the Italian flagship.

Salty Dog 69 is also furnished with a nice ITS Cavour (CVH-550) marking on the right tail (the left tail shows the normal VX-23 markings). This F -35B involved in the seatrails was accompanied by BF-05/65. That F-35B still sports the badge of HMS Queen Elizabeth seatrials and “QNLZ” titels on tail, and also carrying “Marines” titles. Although VX-23 has the SD-tailcode assigned, both STOVLs do not show this on the right side of the aircraft.

As the USAF Demonstration Team Thunderbirds fly in the background, a Peace Carvin V Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) F-15SG Strike Eagle, with serial nummer 05-0007, sits on the Nellis AFB tarmac during the latest Red Flag 21-2 exercise.

In October 2021, Peace Carvin V, the US-RSAF cooperation to train Singapore F-15 pilots on US soil, will see its 12th anniversary. The US based RSAF F-15SGs are embedded with the 428th Fighter Squadron Buccaneers flying out of Mountain Home AFB (ID).
