Caproni Ca.100 I-ABOU flew again on Thursday, April 7, 2022, following a 16-year operational hiatus. Cesare Baj e Gerolamo Gavazzi was the lucky man at the controls for this flight, which took place on and above Lake Como amidst a magical Alpine setting in northern Italy.

It appears the late Paul Allen's Flying Heritage Combat & Armor Museum collection has been sold to a new owner. This is obviously huge news, with a lot extremely rare and significant complete aircraft and restoration projects on the move. There are several rumors out there as to who the new owner is but I'm sure that will be officially revealed in the coming weeks. More to come.

Curtis P-40C Warhawk
de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito T.Mk.III

The name I have seen most associated with the move is Steuart Walton, director of Walmart, who owns several warbirds, including the F2G Super Corsair 'Race 57', a F8F Bearcat, two P-51Ds and a Spitfire XVIII. FHCAM also had a large number of projects not listed on their website. It will be interesting to see if these were included in the sale as well. Among them were:

B-17E Flying Fortress
P-38L Lightning (ex-Scatterbrain Kid)
Focke Wulf Fw189A-2
F-86A Sabre
Messerschmitt Me-262 with original Jumo 004 engines
F-86A Sabre
Heinkel He-111
G4M Betty
F-84 Thunderjet
F-8N Crusader(s)

And probably more that I am forgetting or unaware of.
