And we have it! MiG-15bis.com has successfully performed the first post-restoration flight on the Lim-2 (MiG-15bis built under license in Poland). This is the only airworthy Mig-15bis in Europe and it will display alongside the double seat SBLim-2! You can see the Polish "Mig-15 team" perform this Saturday at the AIR SHOW Margonin and the week after at the Antidotum Airshow Leszno.

Volunteers at the Atterbury-Bakalar Air Museum in Columbus, Indiana have just finished installing the outer wing panels on their recently-acquired Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar which they have position on display outside their main building at Columbus Municipal Airport.
Following a particularly in-depth inspection, Fagen Fighters WWII Museum flew their Lockheed P-38L Lightning 'Scatt III' on June 9th; the first flight the aircraft has made since 2018.

We have periodically presented reports by Chuck Cravens detailing the restoration on an ultra-rare Beechcraft AT-10 Wichita WWII advanced, multi-engine trainer, but it has been almost a year since our last update.

It has been a couple of months since our last report on progress with the restoration of Curtiss SB2C-5 Helldiver Bu.83393 at the Fagen Fighters WWII Museum in Granite Falls, Minnesota, but a lot has happened in the interim.

After a significant effort over a number of years, the Temora Aviation Museum successfully performed a test flight with their English Electric Canberra TT.18 WJ680. Outside of NASA’s fleet of three WB-57 Canberras, WJ680 is presently the only currently airworthy example of the breed anywhere in the world.

Great news from Poland as the rare Iryda jet to be restored to an airworthy condition!
Today, at a special meeting, the cooperation between the Regional Development Agency in Mielec and the Fundacja Biało-Czerwone Skrzydła (White-Red Wings Foundation) was announced. One of the most important goals of this cooperation will be to restore aircraft produced in Poland to airworthy condition. The first aircraft to be restored thanks to this cooperation will be the PZL I-22 Iryda (Also known as the PZL M93 Iryda and PZL M96 Iryda) twin-engine, two-seat Polish military jet trainer aircraft developed and produced by Polish aviation company PZL Mielec. When completed this will be the world's only airworthy Iryda and we cannot wait to see it at the Air Shows in the future.
What other Polish aircraft would you like to see restored to an airworthy condition?
