Quite a lot has taken place since our last update in September about the extremely rare ‘birdcage’ variant of the Vought F4U-1 Corsair (BuNo.02449), and we thought our readers would be interested in seeing some photographs describing the latest efforts.

Sea Harrier FA.2 ZH798 has just been restored to taxable condition in the UK by Jet Art Aviation Ltd. No British Harriers, of any kind, have been moving under their own power in their home country in more than a decade. The aircraft is now available for sale!

Great to see the Berlin Airlift Historical Foundation's 'Spirit of Freedom' back in the air again! The aircraft has already begun taking part in air shows again, offering a much-needed uplift to the team following a supremely challenging couple of years.

The Royal Air Force Museum’s ultra-rare Vickers Wellington T.Mk.X (MF628) is nearing the conclusion of its decade-long refurbishment at the organization’s Michael Beetham Conservation Center in Cosford, with the fuselage now beginning to receive its first strips of Irish linen covering in the paint booth.

The Fundacja Eskadra (Squadron Foundation) who currently owns and maintains the SBLim-2 (Mig-15UTI) and Europe's only airworthy Lim-2 (Mig-15bis) has very ambitious plans to restore the Mig-21 "Fishbed" and the Mig-23 "Flogger" back to an Airworthy condition.

The team is currently searching for promising airframes to protect them against degradation and it will take a number of years before we see those jets back in the air. Once restored those will be the only privately-owned airworthy examples of those aircraft in Europe as well as the only privately owned supersonic jets in Poland.

We wish the team the best of luck and we hope to see those unique jets at the European Airshows in the future. Follow Fundacja Eskadra/Squadron to find out what the team is up to and to keep up to date with all their projects.
