For the first time ever a B-52H decided to test the limits of the shorter 8,000' (and some change) runway. They used GNAS to stage out of for the DuPage Air Show just a hop skip and a jump from Glenview in the air. The B-52H was from K.I. Sawyer of the 410 BMW sporting the Eagle and rainbow stripes which was apparently rare and only used very shortly. Rock N Roll Baby!

Wow they didn't even use a chute. Kinda surprised.

Yes it was pretty impressive!! The 52's came in 92, 93 and 94 and all 3 of them never used the Chute. Apparently the crew didn't want to repack the chute themselves after each landing. I don't blame them lol

Here is a highlight clip of F-18 Hornets arriving and departing Glenview NAS in the year 1992. We saw a lot of great squadrons that year including the following:
VFA-81 Sunliners
VFA-132 Privateers
VFA-37 Raging Bulls

In Aug of 1994 saw the last time aircraft and demo teams would stage out of Glenview NAS for the Chicago Air & Water Show. There were a lot of great transient aircraft leading up to and through the Air & Water Show weekend. The Blue Angels and Fat Albert put on a great show and the Tomcat from VF-101 was awesome as always!!! Enjoy!

We saw a TON of T-38's at Glenview when it was still open. Every weekend you were usually able to catch at least one or multiple 38's arriving and departing. Here are some highlights of the amazing Northrop T-38A Talon at Glenview NAS during the year 1993!!
