Do You Fly?
Any other pilots on here? I got my license back in 2011. Logged most of my time in the Cessna 172, but have a little time in a Lightsport CT, Decathlon and Stearman. Now flying the Piper Warrior primarily.

I got my license in 2012 and have spent about 120 hours since renting 172s out of Appleton and Green Bay. There isn't much opportunity around here; the instructors pretty much suck and almost all of the rental fleet is controlled by one guy. I'm eager to do instrument training on my way to my CFI but it will have to wait. Tailwheel and aerobatics are also high on my list, as I hope to get into flying warbirds some day soon!
Last month Alicia and I flew down to breakfast in Madison. It was a great trip! I'll have to resize some photos and post them soon.

Yep. Earned my Private Pilots License in 2007. Currently flying a C172. One of the best decisions I've ever made.

Got my Commercial in 2003. Currently hopping around Western North America in a corporate King Air 350.
By far best aircraft I've ever flown.

If you don't mind me asking, how'd you go about finding your current commercial job?

Of course, don't mind at all! Keep in mind being in Canada it's slightly different than the states.Airshow4444 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 14, 2017 2:56 amIf you don't mind me asking, how'd you go about finding your current commercial job?
Instructed for 3 years after flight school, gained 2000 hrs PIC time which is GOLD. Flew cargo/charter/medevac for 2.5 years in the middle of nowhere (Which up here in Canada is the main way to gain good experience) Gained another 2000hrs of Multi-Turbine PIC time.
Made good pilot buddies out there, and once everyone moves on to better employers and locations you get occasional referrals from those friends, and opportunities present themselves, especially in the corporate aviation world. Few years ago this is exactly what happened in my case. Moved back to civilization with a good amount of qualifications and knowledge, and there ya have it!
To sum up...My current job sought me out. Referrals are EVERYTHING up here.

Another pilot here. I fly for a regional airline but that's only to support my general aviation addiction
On another note, I like the new forums AirshowStuff folks. I hope you guys can turn this into a great community of fellow avdorks like myself!
