Pretty early to include the CF-18 demo for 2020 considering there may not be a demo due to lack of airframes, pilots and maintenance personnel.

Maybe Australia will send up some more spares by then.

All jokes aside, if it does end up being the case I’ll update the thread. I didn’t want the topic to look empty and figured I’d toss the two staples that do attend every year.

After ICAS, I will keep the main post up dated with only officially announced performers.

A side note: anyone else notice that the Blue Angels are scheduled to be in Cold Lake on the week of Abbotsford in 2020? I’m sure things will change in the near future and the dates will be edited to July for Cold Lake, but if that’s not the case, it may be something to keep an eye on.

The official Abbotsford Airshow website now lists the CF-18 demo for 2020 along with the Snowbirds and Skyhawks. ;)

The Blue Angels will be performing in Cold Lake on July 18 & 19, 2020, not August 8 & 9 as their website indicates.

They initially offered Cold Lake the August dates and published them at ICAS 2018 without confirming with the show organizers. Cold Lake organizers requested different dates to deconflict Cold Lake and Abbotsford and the Blues have accommodated. They just haven't updated their schedule on the website yet for whatever reason.

For anyone interested, we're hosting an AMA on Reddit tomorrow (11/27) starting at 9AM PST on r/Airshows. If anyone has any burning questions they want to ask us about how we organize the show, other behind-the-scenes stuff, or whether we consider hot dogs to be sandwiches, we'll do our best to answer them.

First official confirmed performer for Abby will be Jeff Boerboon and his Yak-110. I had the chance to see this unique aircraft in Oregon a few months ago and what a stunning performance he puts on.
