You can also add in some more warbirds ;)

CAF SoCal is bringing their PBJ, F6F, Zero, Spitfire, and P-51. If they pair up with POF for a pyro demo, this could be a pretty special warbird performance. It's rare that a military show gets nearly a half dozen warbirds from both POF and CAF.

Only been to Yuma once, but this lineup is looking pretty killer. Might need to go again... Then LA County the weekend after. 8-)

I am going to be attending this show for the first time ever and was wondering if someone would be able to provide me some information about the show. I am a photographer so I want to make sure I get a good vantage point.

For Friday, does the base allow you to line up outside the base entry point prior to the gates opening at 1600? I know that I need to download the free parking pass. Should I purchase a grandstand seat for the twilight show or just stick with general admission considering I will be taking photos?

For Saturday, similar questions as the Friday questions. Does the base allow you to lineup up outside the base entry point prior to the gates opening at 0900 (if you buy the blue parking pass)? I am thinking about either the covered seating, grandstands, or general admission for tickets so not sure what would be best similar to Friday for taking photos. Also, I see they offer a blue parking pass allowing you to park on base and is the closest parking to the event. If I were to not purchase this, I see that you are still parked on base with one lot appearing to be close to where you park with the blue pass, but the other parking area is a bit further. Do they shuttle you at all or is it walking only? How long does it typically take to get off base and out of airshow traffic at the conclusion of the show? Obviously it probably depends on the route you take, but just looking for an estimate.

I see that they are pretty strict on bags so I will have to figure that all out for my camera gear.

I will be coming in from Dayton, OH so I want to make this the best experience possible so any info you all can pass along would be greatly appreciated!!
