Unless things improve, the Red Arrows' 2020 season probably comes to an end before it even started. :(
While more and more airshows are being canceled most of the Military display teams work hard practicing for the 2020 display season and this includes the RAF Red Arrows however all this might be for nothing as today the RAF confirmed that if the situation with the Covid-19 won't improve until next month (that's when the decision will be made) all of the air displays and flypasts by the team will be canceled, this includes the short mainland Europe tour that was planned for the second half of the season and all 11 pilots will return to their frontline duties. If this does happen it is expected that the current team will still perform regular practice displays along with their other duties. This would be the first time in 50 years that the team had not performed at UK air shows.

I'm not sure of their sources (I wish Scramble would say where they get their information from when it hasn't been publically announced through the official channels) but their post seems largely consistent with the statement released by the Red Arrows this morning. It reads:
Given the current restrictions in the UK and many European partner nations to contain the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus, the decision has been taken not to send the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, overseas for work-up training this year.

While this is usually done to guarantee better weather, continuity of highly-skilled flying practice and to accelerate the team's preparedness for a busy season, 2020 will clearly not be a normal campaign.

It is the intention of the RAF that the Red Arrows will maintain their capabilities, when the current situation enables the team to do so.

There is also a requirement for skill and knowledge retention for the medium to long-term within the team, so that the Red Arrows can continue to be deployed as a valuable National asset and symbol of UK excellence at the appropriate time.

Updates will be given as the details of the Red Arrows' commitment to displays this season becomes clearer.
According to The Express yesterday, in an article dubiously titled "Crisis grounds the RAF's Aerobatic team", even if the team's displays are axed for 2020 and the pilots returned to front line duties, the pilots will still perform display practices to ensure their skills are maintained. This is, I assume, what the Red Arrows' statement refers to when saying they will "maintain their capabilities".

Edited to add: On a similar note, I happened to be speaking to the organiser of a 2020 airshow due to recieve the Patrouille de France on the phone over the weekend, and he says that they, too, are expecting to have their entire season axed in the near future.

@Adam had a great explanation of what the Red Arrows routine looks like in 2020 (if they get to fly it)

Small update: Red 10 said today during the Virtual Air Tattoo that the team's 2020 schedule currently consists of the Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow and several international events, but they hope to add more as the situation permits. Nice to hear what is effectively the first airshow confirmation from them of the year.
