That site map is not very friendly to the general admission attendees. Unless you are a gold sponsor, top gun tent or have reserved seating... there seems to be little opportunity to sit in the front row. Very disappointing.

Indeed Warbird55, no where for photographers to set up. I don't like the drive in style that some shows have gone to since covid, but other shows have adjusted back towards they way it used to be. Genny seeems to be going to opposite direction with less access. What I don't understand was the map that was up until this week had a large GA area to north which is where a lot of photogrpahers set up. Been going to shows at Genny for more than 30 years and sad to say I crossed it off the list when I saw this map.

CJEddy - I do remember seeing the site map with more of an even split between cars and general admission. That did seem like a good idea to me to cater to the drive-in attendees and those wanting a more traditional setup.. But this new map leaves no good space for general admission, let alone photographers. I work as a photo escort (and photo pit) for WW2 Weekend, so I will not be in Genny for the second year in a row. I did message the museum about the possibility of standing up a photo pit/photo tour/night run for next year. Hopefully they listen and realize that it can be a lucrative endeavor for the museum. I am local (Buffalo) and also head up the Thunder over Michigan Photo Pit, so I am hoping they take my offer seriously.

A report from an eye witness at the event. The aircraft with the help of a left cross wind temporarily left the runway grass onto the adjacent dirt before straightening out and resuming their roll out. Pilots and crew are all safe and sound. And the Aircraft was not harmed
