The B-17G and P-63F were both participating in the Tora! Tora! Tora! demonstration at the time of the fatal crash.

It wasn't during Tora, I believe that was earlier in the day.

All victims have been identified. As feared, there were 5 in the B-17 and 1 in the P-63.

This pretty much confirms what I've been seeing so far. This is gonna rest pretty much solely on the air boss's shoulders.

Here's a video on the blancolirio YouTube channel explaining this report, and he made another one just after the crash with a great analysis. Juan is a knowledgeable source and frequently covers aircraft mishaps.



I saw another video insinuating that any issues raised by pilots during the brief would get them removed from the lineup, but I have no idea if that's true or not. There may be a culture problem in the organization as well. Hopefully, they will use this stand down period to address any issues that they have.

There's also a really interesting discussion on another forum that stemmed from sharing this same piece. Reading me makes me wonder what has since happened to this Airboss. Is he still in business? Did the FAA say no more?
