At the end of June, the Hawker Typhoon Preservation Group took its next major step in the return to flight of Hawker Typhoon Mk.IB RB396. Major sections of the historic airframe are now residing within the Aircraft Restoration Company (ARCo) hangar at Duxford Airfield near Cambridge, England.
Douglas Dauntless SBD-1 BuNo. 1612, the sole surviving example of its variant, was expected to arrive at the Air Zoo’s Flight Discovery Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan yesterday, August 2nd, 2021. The museum’s restoration team will complete the full restoration of this historic aircraft, making it the third example of the breed which they have tackled thus far and the fourth aircraft recovered from Lake Michigan which they have worked on

In Lakeport, California an English Electric Canberra B.6 is under restoration to fly following a long period of storage. Won at auction in late 2020, an enthusiastic team of owners and volunteers is working on the aircraft, and they have made significant progress in their endeavors which they hope will see this legendary bomber take to the skies again in mid-to-late 2022

Charlotte-based manufacturing tech giant Honeywell made a $1.5 million gift to the Carolinas Aviation Museum towards its reopening effort, the museum announced Tuesday.

Volafenice has completed the check-out process to certify four new pilots to fly its MB-326K. Congratulations to Renzo Catellani and his team for bringing a new shape and sound to civilian warbird flying in Italian skies.

As many of our readers will be well aware, Avro Lancaster B.VII NX611 Just Jane is under restoration to airworthy condition with the Lincoln Aviation Heritage Center at former RAF East Kirkby in Lincolnshire, England. The group has made magnificent progress, even during the pandemic, and we thought that our readers might like to see a recent report.
