Rathmines Catalina Association PBY Moving to RAAF Williamtown Aviation Heritage Centre. While this does not spell doom for the aircraft, it does rather shatter the original intentions to commemorate the sacrifices of so many Australians (and other Allies) who served at Rathmines during WWII. We will let Phillip Buckley’s words fill in the details…

Combat Veteran Vought F4U-1 ‘Birdcage’ Corsair – Restoration Update. Work has focused primarily upon completing the fabrication and installation of skins for the wing center section. Of these, the lower inner center section skins have been finished, painted, and installed and, just last week, the so-called ‘valley skins’ for the upper center section have undergone spot-welding, painting, and installation too.

While they are still sorting out a few issues with the aircraft's Curtiss-Wright Cyclone powerplant, the pictures and video seem to indicate that the fighter is very close to being ready to fly.

The combat-veteran Douglas C-53 Skytrooper 'Beach City Baby', once-tired and forlorn airframe now looks magnificent following a whirlwind, in-depth restoration which is racing towards the final furlong ahead of the first post-restoration flight. Here is the latest update on their recent efforts.

Fagen Fighters WWII Museum's latest update regarding some of the activities occurring at their marvelous museum in Granite Falls, Minnesota over the past couple of months. These details include a brief restoration update on Curtiss SB2C-5 Helldiver BuNo.83393 which is steadily marching towards its first flight in nearly eight decades.

The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force (NMUSAF) in Dayton, Ohio has sent their rare Bell P-63E Kingcobra to go on display at the Museum of Aviation Robins AFB, Warner Robins, GA, Georgia. The Museum of Aviation serves as a satellite facility to the NMUSAF, the second largest within their system.
